Grade Eight Parents' Night - 2013

A meeting for parents to discuss our Program will be held on Thursday, February 7, at 7:00 pm. Members of the Adminstrative Team and Student Services Department will be on hand to answer any questions regarding required courses and options available at Anderson. Tours of the school will also be conducted. This will be an excellent opportunity for parents to get acquainted with our school.

Grade 10 Introduction to Business
BBI 2O1

This course introduces students to the world of business, including the concepts, functions, and skills required for meeting the challenges of operating a business in the twenty-first century on a local, national, and/or international scale. Students will also learn concepts and skills related to personal finance, entrepreneurship, and international business.

 

Grade 10 Computer and Information Science
ICS2O1

 

This course introduces students to computer science concepts. Students will learn about the stages in software design; the fundamental programming constructs of sequence, selection, and repetition; the functions of internal and external computer components; the relationship among networks, operating systems, and application software and their uses; and how programming languages evolve.  Students will be exposed to a variety of problem solving situations and programming environments (HTML, Turing, Visual Basic, Flash Action script).   Students will also develop an awareness of computer-related careers.
